Ingredients
Tamarind - lemon sized ball
chilly powder - 2 tbsp
coriander powder-2 tbsp
turmeric powder -1tsp
Sundakkai vathal - 3 tbsp
manathakali vathal-3 tbsp
garlic-handful
small onion -handful
Sesame seed oil - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves
Salt as required
Mustard - 1 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 2 (break it )
Asafoetida/Hing- 1/4 tsp
Method
We can add vegetables brinjal,ladies finger .

Method
- Soak tamarind in 1/2 cups of warm water and extract thick juice and keep aside
- Heat a pan and pour sesame oil , add mustard seeds, when they splutter, add fenugreek seeds, hing, dry red chilli , curry leaves , sundakkai vathal ,manathakali vathal saute for min.
- Add garlic ,onions and saute for few minutes.
- Add chilly powder,coriander powder ,turmeric ,salt and saute for one min
- Add tamarind extract and let it boil till the raw smell of the tamarind goes and the gravy reaches a thick consistency.
We can add vegetables brinjal,ladies finger .
